Specific sophisticated measuring and testing instruments related to Physics & Electronics like Cathode Rays Oscilloscopes, Digital Storage Oscilloscopes up to (40 MHz range), and Digital Multi-meters in addition to normal equipment's are available in the Department.

Sophisticated PCB Designing Lab for Electronics Students with Licensed TINA Pro (Toolkit for Interactive Network Analysis), its features include analog, digital and mixed circuit simulators and PCB design. Students of B.Sc. (Electronics) are simulating and designing electronics circuits with the help of TINA s/w.

Microwave and Optical Fiber Communication Lab for Postgraduate students. Microwave test benches with Gunn Oscillator source & Klystron Oscillator source up to the frequency 18 GHz are available for experimentation.

Licensed SONNET software for the simulation of Microwave Circuit like Strip line, Micro Strip line, Slot Line, Copalnar Waveguides, Patch Antennas, Antenna Array etc., is available in the department for research work.

Department is having research Center in Physics. All the faculty members are actively engaged in Research work with their research scholars.

Classes (duration -6 months) in the last semester was done by the students from renowned Institute or Laboratory like Vikram Sarabhai Space Research Center, Thiruvananthapuram, BARC-Mumbai, RRCAT-Indore, PRL- Ahmedabad, SAMMER Institute- Mumbai, AMPRI- Bhopal, IIRS - Dehradun etc., as per the performance of student.

Students are promoted and recommended for Summer Training Program at National Level Research Institutes like RRCAT- Indore, BARC-Mumbai, PRL- Ahmedabad, Harish Chandra Research Institute- Allahabad etc., as per their performance.

Industrial Visit to National Scientific organizations, Scientific Industries like RRCAT-Indore, Meteorological Department, Bhopal, HEG- Mandideep, ScienTech Laboratory-Indore and Excursion Tour are arranged every year for the students.

Minor Research Project (MRP) on topic "Analysis of Microstrip Line Dispersion and Step Discontinuities at Microwave and Millimeter wave frequencies", awarded to Dr. Alok Kumar Rastogi, by University Grants Commission on 31st March 2010. UGC agreed to provide grant of Rs. 160000/- during the tenure. Project completed on 17th August 2012.

"MPCST Centre for Microwave and Fibre Optic Communication Study & Research Laboratory under M.P. Mission Excellence Scheme". Project awarded by M.P. Council of Science & Technology, Bhopal of Rs. 995,000/- on 31.03.2010 under M.P. Mission Excellence Scheme (No. 4523/CST/ME/2010 dated 31.03.2010) to Dr. Alok Kumar Rastogi (Principal Investigator), Project completed on 03.04.2012.

Departmental projects funded by DST-FIST; DBT, ICSSR, etc.; total grants received: 01 - project sanctioned under " Mission Excellence Scheme" of Madhya Pradesh Council of Science & Technology (MPCOST ) a Research Lab for Microwave communication, Optical Fiber & LASER communication has been established in the department in Session 2010-11 and is currently functioning.

Major research Project titled "Development and Characterization of Polypyrrole: Single Wall Carbon Nanotube: Polyvinyl Alcohol Composites" worth Rs. 11, 19,800/- was sanctioned to Dr. Pragyesh Kumar Agrawal by UGC, New Delhi. Project has been completed and final report has been submitted on 8th June, 2015.
