1. Rooms are allotted to each student on his personal responsibility. He should see to the upkeep of his room, hostel and its environment. Students should bring to the notice of the Hostel Maintenance office, through The Hostel manager, for all routine maintenance works (Civil, Carpentry and Electrical), if any, to be carried out in their rooms. Students should co-operate in carrying out maintenance work and vacate their rooms completely when the Hostel Management requires the rooms for this purpose. On such occasions, the management will try to provide alternate accommodation. If any maintenance work is to be carried out when the room is under occupation, it is the occupant’s responsibility to make the room available for the same
2. The Hostel Management will generally provide minimum furniture and fittings for each room consisting of one each of cot, table, chair, ceiling fan with regulator and, a tube light fitting. Rooms once allotted to the students for an academic year will not be changed except on special situations. Room inventory Form to be filled during check-in and check-out by the students in the hostel
3. Any cleanliness matter is to be brought to the notice of the Hostel Manager
4. Students are not permitted to keep costly mobiles, expensive things & cash with them and the institute will not be responsible for their loss, theft or missing items.
5. Students should lock their room properly when they go out for bath, food etc. Each roommate must keep a key of the door lock of his room in case of triple seated accommodations.
6. Students are not permitted to stick posters/ formula/pictures of any type (including God and Goddess) / painting / drawing or writing on the hostel walls.
7. Students are not permitted to break open their room lock or cupboard and cause damage for the hostel property. Only maintenance staff are permitted to take remedial measures in case of loss of key or otherwise. In such case students should inform Hostel manager to initiate action. In the event of violation of above rules by inmates they will be expelled from the hostel.
8. Since most of the rooms in the hostel are of sharing type students are to switch off their room lights after 11.00 p.m. till 5.30 a.m. in the morning. Incase if a student requires light for extra preparation he may use table lamp. This is done to avoid misunderstanding among the inmates of the same room
9. Hostel students should be as economical as possible in the use of water and electricity. Students should switch off the light and fan when not in use.
10. Students are not allowed to stay in the room all during class hours. Permission to be obtained from Hostel manager in writing for any reasons to stay back in the hostel during class hours.
11. The students should not screen pirated / unauthorized /unlicensed movies in their computers and common rooms. Any violation will be dealt severely. Punishment for the same will be decided by authorities
12. Hostlers are expected not violate dress code in the classes, mess/rooms, around the hostel areas and in the campus
13. Members of the mess staff should not be asked to enter the hostel premises on any account.
14. Hostel inmates are supposed to take care of their health themselves. Student suffering from infectious disease has to leave for medical treatment to proper clinic/hospital or isolated place.
15. Students are prohibited from giving shelter to any other student/outsider in the rooms. In case of any unauthorized shelter, the student will be liable to disciplinary action.
16. Formation of association of students on the basis of regions, caste or creed is not permitted, during their stay in the hostels.
17. Male students are strictly forbidden from entering the Girls' Hostel and female students from entering Boy’s Hostel.
18. Hostlers must be aware of the attendance percentage to be maintained by them which is minimum of overall 75% They should assure that they will attend their classes sincerely and effectively. Otherwise they may detain from appearing in the TERM END EXAMINATIONS.
19. No boarder is allowed to engage a private servant or pet animals.
20. Boarders may keep their vehicle/cycle in the campus at their own risk; however security arrangements are being made.
21. Suggestion Form will be provided to the boarders as well as Suggestion Box will be also provided in the hostel to be opened every 15 days in the presence of Hostel Manager and Student representative.
